A survey, because it’s been a while

I haven’t done any of these survey / meme things for a while.

So here’s one I found on a LJ comm for surveys… it’s just random questions. So here we go!

How would you react if your celebrity crush came to your door?
I’m not sure who I’d even consider my ‘celebrity crush’. But, I guess if any celebrity that I really like came to my door I’d be plesantly surprised and extremely confused.
Do you know what it’s like to be truly happy?

Are there any musical instruments in the room you’re in? Are there any in your house at all?
Yes, there’s a digital piano.

What electronics are in your room? (DVD player, CD player, etc)
Laptop, television, DVD player, Wii, external HD, iPhone, digital piano

Do you have a box anywhere with special items you’ll to keep forever in it?
No, not really. I do find places to put special things which I swear I’ll NEVER FORGET WHERE THEY ARE, but then I always forget where they are.

If you could recast anyone in the Twilight Saga movies, who would you replace and with who?
I’ve never seen – nor do I have any desire to see – any of the movies in the Twilight Saga. Therefore, I quite frankly don’t care.

Do you have cordless phones in your house or not?
I don’t even really have a phone in my house. Just a cell phone.

Do you know who Draco Malfoy is?
I do. I’m not a Harry Potter fan myself, but my mother loves the books and my dad loves the movies so I’ve seen some of them with him.

If you had to, would you rather dye your hair red or black?
I’m not sure. Whatever would suit me better, I guess.

Does your dad collect anything?
Not to my knowledge.

Do you like all the new Disney movies like Wall-e more than the old cartoon ones, like Snow White and the Lion King?
I haven’t seen a lot of the new movies, but I really liked Wall-e. It just depends on the movie itself, it doesn’t matter when it was created. The story is more important.

Do you ever press flowers into books so they’ll flatten all nicely?
I used to sometimes when I was a kid, but I haven’t done that for years. I did find a few nice autumn leaves that I pressed, though.

What’s better, a desktop or laptop? Explain.
Definitely a laptop. It’s just so much easier. You can sit anywhere and relax, you can take it with you if you go somewhere… I don’t think I could go back to a destop after having laptops for the past few years.

Describe the worst day of your life.
It’s hard to think of what my ‘worst day’ was… I guess, I’d go with the day I spent eleven hours throwing up in the ER because they were too slow getting me a bed. That’s also when they gave me a needle in my thigh that ended up pinching a nerve. It STILL twitches sometimes.

Describe the happiest day of your life.
I honestly don’t know what the happiest day is… I’ve had a lot of happy days. Especially as of late.

Do you know what ‘elaborate’ means?
Why yes, I do.

What can a guy do to prove he’s a gentleman?
I guess… being chilvalrous. I don’t think to be a gentleman a guy has to ‘take care’ of a woman, but being courteous, considerate and showing his appreciation goes a long, long way.

Is age just a number?
In some ways, I’d like to say yes, but society has clearly shown that it is not.

Is there someone who makes your stomach feel weak?
In a good way, yes.

Do your parents still hide chocolate eggs around on Easter for you?
Haha, no of course not. But when I was a kid they really did a bang up job. They even used baby powder to make little bunny footprints around the house.

What do you typically do on Easter Day?
Well, usually have dinner with the family. But now that I live so far away, I don’t really do anything special.

Are you embarrassed to tell people your weight?
No, I don’t care. I don’t accurately know my weight though. I don’t have a scale.

Is there anyone you literally need to exist?
I think people need people to exist, but I don’t know if there’s anyone in particular that I sincerely need to live. There are a lot of people who make my life better and more worthwhile, and my life would be seriously lacking without them… but need is pretty strong.

If it’s snowing, is Christmas extra special?
Well, I live in Canada. So, I don’t know if it makes it extra special, but if we get a year when it doesn’t snow or doesn’t stick to the ground, it makes me disappointed.

Do you have any special plans for spring break?
That’s too far away to think about.

What is your favorite movie and TV show?
I love a lot… currently, I’d have to say my favourite movie is the Rocky Horror Picture Show and my favourite TV show is Merlin. Of course if you asked me tomorrow morning, it might be different.

Have you ever exchanged presents with this person?
I don’t know who ‘this person’ is…

Have your parents ever told you a frightening lie about something so you wouldn’t do it?
Nothing too frightening. Just normal things parents tell their kids. My friend’s dad did tell us if we ate with hats on we’d go bald. That one still sticks with me.

Would you have a career you can’t stand if you made a lot of money?
No. I can’t imagine getting up in the morning and going to work every day hating my career. Even millions of dollars couldn’t make that worthwhile.

What would you prefer to get from a guy/girl: flowers, a hand written poem, a picture he drew of you, or a nice night out?
Flowers. A nice night out would be good too, but I really do love flowers.

Do questions about sex in surveys make you uncomfortable?
They used to when I was younger, but they don’t now.

I don’t think I do.

Do ever have days when you feel really ugly?
Of course. And it sucks.

Well, the last ‘mistake’ I made, I’m not sure if it was actually a mistake. But yes, I remember the reason why.

Did you check how many calories the last thing you ate had?
Um, no. I have never checked calories on anything before.

If you were interviewed for your best talent, what would that talent be?
I don’t think I really have any talents. I can play piano… but so can a lot of people, haha.

Do you know the chicken dance?
OF COURSE.

If you asked your mom to describe you, what do you think she’d say?
I’m really not sure. I hope something nice.

If a random person asked how old you are, would you tell them?
Sure, why not?

What are you looking forward to?
Hanging out with Angi today and next weekend.

Do you ever wish you had a different family?
No, my family is awesome. Okay, I might have wished that when I was a kid and thought my parents might be aliens… haha.

Do you ever have days when you just want to stay in bed all day long?
Yes. Definitely.

Is turkey the best part about the holidays?
The best part? No. But it’s pretty damn good.

What do you usually drink at meals?
Juice or tea.

Does your washer make a lot of noise?
Kind of. It’s not super quiet… but maybe I’m used to it so it doesn’t really seem loud either.

How many hair straighteners/curlers/dryers are in your house?
None

Um… neither side?

Do you wave when you see people from your classes outside of school?
Sure, if I know for sure that it’s them.

Are you allowed to eat meals in the living room?
I don’t really have a living room here, but at my parent’s house, yes.

How many people could fit comfortably to sleep in the room you’re in?
Maybe three.

Around how much do you spend on Christmas presents?
Depends how many people to buy for. I don’t really think of price.

Do you always have an ice cube in your drink?
No, I hardly ever do.

Does the last person you spoke to have any siblings?
If you count the person I’m talking to right now, no. But the last person I talked to who I’m finished talking to (for now, due to sleeping), yes.

What’s the best food for sleepovers?
Popcorn

If you skip class, what one do you skip most?
I’m not in school anymore, so because I’m the teacher I don’t skip class… haha. But I used to skip English class a lot in high school, and in University… whatever class I couldn’t be bothered to go to. It was more of a time thing than a subject thing.

Do you have any pictures of yourself on your bedroom walls?
No, I do not. I don’t want to see myself looking at myself every day.

Does your mom dye her hair?
Yes, she does.

What do you do for fun when the power goes out?
Oh my, I can’t remember the last time the power went out. Well, it went out for like 30 seconds at school the other day (blew the fuse). But seriously went out… I guess I just play games until my laptop dies.

Are ‘personal response’ essays painful to write for you?
I like essay writing in general, so I wouldn’t say they’re painful. I think research essays are easier, but I don’t mind personal repsonse essays either.

About how many books are in the room you’re in?
Haha, like, ten maybe? Most of them are piano books.

What number do you ignore when it comes up on the display?
At first, I didn’t understand what this question meant. Now, I realize it’s talking about the phone… I ignore nubmers that I don’t know.

What is the best restaurant in the mall? What do you typically order there?
There really isn’t a ‘mall’ nearby that I go to frequently. The only mall I really go to, I never eat at the same restaurant. So, even though it’s not really a restaurant, I guess Starbucks.

Do you find history interesting?
Yes, I do. But I rather someone tell me than me read it. I like to hear stories, haha.

What’s the last thing you searched on google?
“Family Guy episode list”. I wanted to name my files correctly.

Have you read all the books on your bookshelf?
I don’t have a bookshelf.

Harry Potter or Twilight?
If I had to choose, I’d definitely say Harry Potter. I’m not really a fan of either though.

Would you be okay living on your own?
I already do live on my own, and I think I’m quite okay, haha.

How far can you run without breaking a sweat?
HAHA. Yeah… I’m not a runner.

After swimming, do you just strip or go into a change room?
Go into a change room… first, I shower. The chlorine makes me feel icky.

Would you rather date an older man/woman, or a younger one?
I guess, I’d choose older. But I wouldn’t object to dating someone younger.

Yes

At Honey’s

Do you/your parents have any creepy pictures or painting up on the wall?
Hmm… not really. They do have this paniting of a leaf that looks a lot like pot.

What’s the best kind of video game? (Adventure, shooting, etc)
I like RPGs and strategy games.

How young is too young to date?
Hm, I guess it depends on how you define ‘date’. But it seems like a lot of kids really are growing up too fast. Maybe 13 or 14 is still too young.

How old is too old to date?
You can never be too old!

Does your mom swear?
Rarely, but sometimes it slips out, haha.

What was your biggest fear as a child?
Dead fish and being buried alive.

Your biggest dream?
To live happily ever after.

Do you know anyone who has road rage?
Nothing too serious. A girl I was friends with growing up had some bad road rage though. She yelled a lot when she drove.

How would you react if your mom got a lip piercing?
I would be in shock. Pure and utter shock.

What animal is really common to see in the woods where you live?
Around here… boars. In Nikko they had signs for wild monkeys, telling you not to feed them. Unfortunately, I never got to see a real monkey.

Would you like to follow in one of your parents’ footsteps?
I love my parents, but no.

Where did you get your favorite pair of pajamas?
Well, my favourite pair of PJ bottoms, my mum got for me when I was stuck in the hospital. They’re silk, so she thought they would feel nice and cheer me up.

What/who do you take the most pictures of?
Scenery and food. Yeah, definitely been in Japan too long, haha.

What’s your screensaver?
THE STARFIELD BECAUSE IT’S AWESOME. It makes me feel like I’m in Star Wars. And that’s awesome.

Do you prefer your hair in a bun or ponytail?
Ponytail. But I prefer down.

What is the last thing you celebrated?
I think a birthay?

What were you last Halloween?
In Tokyo. We went to the horse races and then watched a scary movie. It was a good day.
