白川郷
On August 23rd, two of my adult students took Kat and I to Shirakawago, which is a world heritage spot in Gifu prefecture. It took about an hour and a half to get there, and over three hours coming back due to traffic, but it was an awesome day with beautiful weather. In Shirakawago, they have straw roofed houses, which are obviously very old, and really interesting.
It was really a beautiful place, as I hope you can see in the photos, almost all of which were taken by Kat.
