Last night, Hitomi and I hopped on the night bus in Nagoya to head to Tokyo.

The poor guy doing the announcements on the bus had an awful time telling the time… I don’t think he got it right the first time any of the times he said it, haha. The bus ride was all around pretty good. No smelly people or people who snored too loudly.

We made it to Shinjuku at about 5:30am. YES. BRIGHT AND EARLY!
From there, we took the subway to Shibuya and then a taxi to Kim’s humble abode which we have kidnapped for the time being.

So we made it to Kim’s apartment complex… and since we don’t have the fancy electronic key… thing, we have to use a regular metal key. Meaning we had to use a different entrance than the one Kat and I had used before when we stayed.

Although Kim drew us a lovely map… we had some difficulty figuring out where the hell to go. We thought we were supposed to go into the parking lot, but there was this chain there, blocking the way. And a security camera.

After circling the building a couple of times, we saw some people hopping over the chain and figured well if they can do it, we can too. So we got into the parking lot… and to these metal doors that Kim had mentioned… but when we tried putting the key into the lock, it wouldn’t go. We tried all the doors we could find, but no luck.

We walked around the parking lot a few times (it’s not that big, but we had no idea where to go), I called Kim, but then hung up when we saw a man coming down to the rubbish closet…

THAT WAS OUR CHANCE. We snuck into the complex behind the man and just as we did, Kim called with further instructions. It seems like we were at the right place….

We found his apartment, and it was then we realized that we had been trying the wrong key the entire time. Yes. A good 20 minutes wasted in the disgusting humidity because we’re too dumb to check to make sure we’re using the right key.

AWESOME.

Well, at least it was an adventure and the security people have something to watch.

Seriously, it’s like a complete flood of memories to think about all these revivals. All we need is for the Ruephy Alive boys, and Ichigo Rock boys to do one.

I could see it happening wtih Ruephy Alive, but I don’t think Ichigo Rock ended overly well.

Hinata wrote that he’s been friends with the barby member’s long since before the band was formed, which made me ‘aww’ a little bit. It’s amazing how much you miss people you didn’t even really know. But all the memories I have connected with them were just so great, that it’s hard not to get all sentimental again.

I still have the pick Akira gave me. And Kei’s drumstick which I caught at their oneman.

It’s hard to believe they broke up three years ago. But I’m really glad they have the chance to do the revival. Hinata (I’m not calling him Shimon… I’m just not) said that the reason for the name change was because they’re playing barby songs and non-barby songs. For barby songs, they’ll be playing FUNNY RED HORROR, Murder Show and 青春DAYS.

I really hope they use their old introduction.

Is it sad that I made Kyle help me find it, and downloaded it… and now have it on my iPod and know most of the lyrics to it? Yes. Yes it is.

I also love the word, 「懐かしい」. For some reason, I feel like it embodies the emotion better than any English words do.

So yes, I was looking through both Hijiri and Tomo’s old blogs. Reiya didn’t have one when he was in Pashya, so I’m honestly kind of surprised that he’s posting in the chariots one. But then I felt all nostalgic — I miss those guys. Well, I miss Ruephy Alive more than Pashya.

I’ve always kept wondering what’s going on now with Hijiri and Tomo. Then of course with Hinata, Akira, Yamaji, Kei, Daichan (even though he was in a band up until a few months ago) and Yuzuki. I’m glad the four Jaguar boys have joined new bands, but I hope that Kou is doing well. I’m also really happy that Sora’s in meth. now, but I wonder about Io and Yuina too. Not so much Ren because I read his blog and I’ve talked to him a few times since the band broke up and I know if I wanted to I could message him again. He’s super nice.

Hinata and Akira I probably think about the most. Out of all the bands I’ve loved, Barby was definitely the first (and hopefully when I get the chance to see R指定 live I’ll feel the same way about them that I did about Barby). Then when I got that comment on my Livedoor from someone who’s ‘friends’ with Barby, thanking me for the continuous support and saying that they still remembered me I nearly died. I kept wondering if it was actually one of them, but who knows.

The weird thing is, they were saying it to me and Nels, but they used ネルスケ, which I had NEVER EVER used in my blog or anywhere online. The only time that appeared was in our letters to them (we wrote them two, one when we gave them the chocolate and the second when we were leaving to say thanks for everything). So… it has to be someone who’s either really close to them, or one of them.

OMG UNLESS IT WAS SAMI-SAN WHO I ADORE. Only because he makes me laugh.

But Hinata… I always wonder what if I had said something more or something different. Well, nothing I’m sure, haha. But I regret not saying anything more than I did. Especially after he went to all the work to draw me that bunny with the house and the sun (even though the bunny looks a bit high in the photo). That boy had the cutest smile I’ve ever seen and I was totally in love with his voice. Speaking voice, too. He was easy to listen to.

Anyways, enough about that. It would be funny if I ran into him one day again. I think I’d recognize him still.

Even if he shaved one side of his head again for no apparent reason. (And that’s enough of that, because as you know that’s the look we don’t talk about, right Nels? Haha). A look we can talk about is him in his suit (jacket, no shirt under). Yes… that was a good night.

In my searching for photos of Reiya, I came across this photo that I love of Tomo and Reiya. Plus a few totally adorable photos of Tomo… the one I’m putting below is with him and Kairi (from Siva).

I love how he called himself “Magical Prince”. According to vkdb, he’s changed his name back to Sai now and is doing session work and what not. I haven’t seen any session bands with him in them, but I also hope to see him again someday wearing those tight, white, leather pants. He was always really fun and always made Nels and I feel like we were noticed and included.

But in all fairness, our four bands always did. I miss those times. Going with Nels to lives and seeing our favourite bands play. I have a lot of really awesome memories from them, which I was going to write about, but I can’t really bring myself to because I feel they’re too special. I hope when I go back I’ll be able to have some more great band related memories with Mamo. And I hope some of my favourite boys return to the scene. Even if I could only see a few of them once more, it would make me elated.
