It’s only Wednesday, but it feels like it’s been a long week.

I haven’t updated for a while, because… I guess, I don’t really have that much to say. Things at work are going well though, and I had a talk with my boss and he said the same. So, I was definitely relieved to hear that. I get paranoid that they won’t want me to stay, or that the students or parents will complain about me. I try my best to make classes fun, and to make sure the kids learn what they’re supposed to, but you know… what you think you’re doing, and what you’re actually doing don’t always end up being the same.

Oh! One of my three year olds made some origami and drew a picture for me! Haha. It’s super cute, and I was so touched. I also have another who always goes, “Adrienne先生, 見て見て!!” (LOOK AT ME!) and then she’ll twirl or something, haha. It kind of makes me think of Stuart from MadTV, except she’s like… super cute and Stuart (as awesome as he is) is kinda creepy.

Things at S-T are a bit crazy right now, but luckily we’re going to get all the wrinkles smoothed out. Let’s just say the site has greatly veered from the path it originally started on, and because of that we’ve been kind of in this weird limbo for a while. We’re fixing that up. There’s (hopefully) lots of changes coming up soon, so I hope that our readers will enjoy it! I love S-T and I think we all work really hard, so I hope we can make it live up to its potential. Mija and I have been working, I’ve been talking a lot to Inka and Shintomo about what we could do, and Hitomi and I have been working on stuff on this end. So, that’s something to look forward to.

This isn’t it, but FINALLY the weather isn’t trying to kill everyone living in Nagoya anymore (yay). It’s actually cool tonight! Well, cooler. This evening walking home from work I was actually kind of cold… and after wishing for coldness for so long, I kind of wish it wasn’t going to turn cold. Typical, right?

On a random note, my shoulder is peeling. O_O
Like, sunburn peeling.
No, for real. Because I know you’re doubting me right now, haha.

Oh, I also called Grammy tonight. She’s doing well, so that’s good to hear. My family never has much drama, so there’s never much to report, haha. It’s usually oh, the house looks good, the flowers are doing nicely, the dog ate a pound of butter… you know.

I got the go-ahead to use playdough in class with the little ones for our colours and shapes week, providing that no one has a flour allergy.

I AM STOKED.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that I added the photo gallery from our trip to the mountains.

I spent a lot of this evening, again, updating the site.

With the new layout, I feel really motivated to work on it, which is a great feeling. I’ve added tons of new photos to the galleries, and reorganized some things as well.

I’ve also changed up the music page. Originally, it just had samples of piano playing. But the more I thought about it, the more I was like, man, I want to change that. So I decided to break it up, and just provide links to those blog entries with the music in them. Then Ed suggested that I do something with the songs that I always get stuck in my head — because quite frankly, I almost always have something stuck in there. I therefore created a new account on Twitter for the sole purpose of posting quick updates to the music page of the songs currently stuck in my head.

Oh! You can also comment on all the photo galleries now. I didn’t have comments on them before, but I figured out how to do it and maeke it look nice, so it’s kind of a free-for-all, haha.

There are also more photos of Watson. Apparently my computer is overrun with them.

Other than that… I got the links page done, and will be working on the about section.

On an unrelated note, tomorrow is my first night teaching the adult business class. I have to admit, I’m pretty nervous. I think I’ll do all right, but I’m not 100% sure what they’re expecting. So, we’ll see how it goes.

So today was quite productive as far as getting P-S.net up and going was concerned.

I’ve added a bunch of photos to the site — both in new galleries, and in old. (And Kat, I stole some photos from your FaceBook…). The photo section is a lot more organized, and I went from having eight galleries to twelve. If you have some spare time, I suggest checking out the ‘Random Photos’ one (the one with a sign) because there are some pretty funny images in there.

Like the Acid Milk truck and the instructions on how to sit on the toilet.

Hopefully within the next few days I’ll be getting the links section and the profile section all done. I’m still not sure what I want to put in the profile, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

In addition to my productivity on the site, I also got laundry and grocery shopping done, making it a pretty good day indeed.

And on that note, it’s 2:40am and I should get to sleep. I went to bed at 5:00am yesterday, and woke up around 8:00am so I’m pretty tired.

I updated the entire layout for Pink-Spider.net. I mean, I did quite the overhaul.

It’s pretty minimalistic now, but I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Getting it to come this far, was … well, quite the feat. First, I asked anyone I trusted what they thought. Then I made changes based on what they thought, trying to make it better. In the end, I realized it didn’t really matter all that much if other people were pleased with it… I mean, it’s my site and therefore my layout.

I have never used so much .CSS in a layout in my life, so I had some interesting test runs there.

Not every part of the site is done yet. The about section and the links I haven’t finished, but I’ll work on them so that the whole site is finally functioning.

You know, I tried to make a light, airy layout. But the two I attempted, I just wasn’t 100% happy with. I mean I liked them well enough, but I couldn’t see them as my site layout. Maybe I’m meant for dark colours.

Oh, and check out the ‘past’ page, because the tag cloud IS COMPLETELY AWESOME.

Edit: I have to fix the comments, but I keep breaking them. Therefore, they’re staying as is until I get some sleep. Damn you 5am. Damn you.

I’ve been thinking quite a bit about the site lately, and what I want to do with it.

Right now I feel like I want to put more into it, keep it updated, and add some content pages. About what, I’m not entirely sure so I’m open to suggestions, but I’d just like to make this site a bit more… hearty.

So yes. I’m going to make a better effort to post here more. That’s all I have to say.

So, again it’s been a while since I posted anything here. Although, lack of Internet can be blamed for that.

I’m really glad to finally have a phone, and the more I use it, the more I think that it was a good choice to go with be iPhone. All o need now is to get a pink cover for it. They didn’t have any pink in stock when I bought it, so I got blue. It’s a nice colour, but it’s not pink.

A week tomorrow is my birthday.
It’s kind of strange. Sometimes I feel like, wow, I’m almost 24 and I’ve accomplished virtually nothing. Other times I feel like I’m doing okay. Admittedly, I always thought my life would be a bit different than it is when I reached around this age. I’m not saying I’m. Of happy, I just thought things would be different.

Every time I go to the convenience store near work, if I check out with this one girl she always talks to me. She’s really nice, and even if it’s nothing huge, it’s nice when someone makes an extra effort like that.

On my birthday, after work, we’re all going to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. I think it’s nice that the school does that for everyone’s birthday, and since I really like everyone I work with, I’m excited.

My parents sent me a birthday present which came already. Two news shirts and some chocolate, along with a keychain and photos of Watson, my grandparents, my cousin and her new baby Zion, and the house. Especially the garden. My mum wrote comments on the back of them all, some of which were hilarious.

Yes… So none of this is terribly exciting. Looking forward to the June vacation because my wonderful brain twin is coming to visit.

I’ll have Internet again in just over a week so I’ll be able go update more and get back into the swing of S-T and such.

On a closing note, this took far too long to type out because I suck at typing on my phone.

Thank god for auto-correct.
