I hate having protected entries at the top.
I don’t know, it looks kind of unfriendly.

Typhoon came, everything is fine. It just kept me up until the wee hours of the morning on Thursday. My mornin class was cancelled that day, so even though I was at work early, it gave me time to get some paperwork done. So that was kind of nice, even though I really do enjoy teaching that class.

It’s getting cold, and I’m getting a bit sick. Although, I do feel better today than I did yesterday, so that’s a bonus.

I feel like lately I haven’t really talked to that many people. It’s kind of disappointing, in a way, because there are a lot of people I enjoy talking to. I always get worried that I’ll message someone or e-mail someone and be annoying them, so I generally don’t do it.

I also really hate Bob.

I can’t believe how hard it’s raining!

Both yesterday and today it was sunny one minute, and pouring the next. Today we got thunder and lightening to accompany it as well. Nice. What a lovely day.

Other than that, not much is new. My bed came, so my apartment is almost all set up.

Tomorrow we’re going to the mountains for the day… which means I have to get up super early. I have to catch the 7:03am subway, and I have to stop by the conbini on my way, so I’ll have to leave at about 6:50am. Okay, some people don’t think that’s super early, but I do! I go to bed at around 3:00am, so 6:00am comes pretty damn fast.

In a couple of weeks, Kat will be here! I’m really looking forward to that.

Then we have Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
I have decided that’s what I will call them.
For no other reason than I can. Except I haven’t quite decided who’s who.

I really like when it rains at night.

I guess it’s soothing, to hear it outside the window, hitting the tops of the buildings, the windows, the streets and what not. It’s supposed to be rainy season now, but we haven’t gotten that much rain this year, so I guess that’s lucky.

I’d rather have it rain all night, and then be a nice day.

It’s soothing.

And I am very irritated with you.

You probably have no idea, and you probably won’t ever know because before I know it, you’ll make up for it, but yeah. You make me annoyed, and oddly enough that’s part of the reason why I like you as much as I do.

For some reason, I am ridiculously sleepy today.

I got a good amount of sleep, I think I slept well (which is a bit unusual), but here I am, yawning like crazy and ready to take a nap right here on my desk.

My dad came into my room this morning, at about 8:30am, telling me that he needed to print something. Okay, he has the day off today, so what on earth does he zomg need to print at 8:30 in the morning? (The answer, btw, is nothing). I’m not sure if he knows how to work the printer or not, but I told him I can print it for him when I get home. He said he had to have it right away. e_e

My printer sits on my desk, and is generally covered with clothes and stacks of magazines. Needless to say, it’s not even plugged in and you couldn’t print with it if you wanted to. Not where it’s sitting right now, anyways. I told him I’d bring it downstairs on my way, which I did.

So I get down there with the printer and he goes, Oh it’s okay. I don’t need it.

.

.

.

He just was upstairs bugging me about it like it was a life or death situation, and now he doesn’t need it? Things like that make me want to fall over.

It’s insanely windy today, so I didn’t take the Skyway and almost forgot how to get to work. You know how you get so used to going one way, like you could do it with your eyes closed, so going another way just seems strange? Yeah. That’s what happened. Luckily, I made it here okay and didn’t get lost, but there were a few times I thought maybe the wind will push my car off the road. O_O!

IT WAS THAT INTENSE.

It’s still pretty bad, and I can only imagine the tree limbs and such that’ll probably be all over the streets.

In good news, I got all the parks done and up. Now it’s just a matter of checking them all to make sure everything is okay, and checking up on the ones that weren’t done (hopefully because they shouldn’t actually be there). And at least the day has gone by pretty fast. I find that the morning goes fastest, so if I wait and eat my lunch later (around one), the afternoon goes a little more quickly.

Two hours left until home time.

It is freaking cold in the office. So cold, that I haven’t even taken off my coat yet.

I didn’t get nearly as much done last night as I would have hoped. I have ten parks left, and I only got four done, leaving six for me to finish this morning.

But instead, here I am, updating my blog with really nothing to say.

I’m really tired of people who e-mail the campground e-mail, asking for directions from [insert place here]. I mean really, all I’m going to do, is go on Google Maps and send you a link. Why can you not do that yourself? It’s even linked from our website, so all you have to do is put in your home address (or whatever address you want to leave from).

I was late to work. Again. I feel bad, because lately I keep coming in ten minutes late. For really no reason other than I can’t get moving any faster or earlier in the morning. Lame, I know. I feel like, as long as I get though Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are easy days (no work Tuesday, piano on Wednesday). Thursdays and Fridays are long, but not bad, and Saturdays are fun, even if Japanese class is a little too early for my tastes. Sunday, is off day.

But Mondays… are killer. They’re looooong. Looooooooooong. It’s my fault really, because I could have come to the campground on Tuesday, and then have only piano on Monday. But I like having a full day off, so it makes it worthwhile to work all day Monday. Still a long day though.

And I don’t really know what I’m going to do once I finish these parks. O_O Half the office isn’t here, and there’s a few things I need that I can only get from certain people.

I’m drinking this Fruit Frappe thing from President’s Choice. It’s milk and fruit juice… pretty good actually. I was skeptical at first. Tastes like watered down yogurt, which I realize makes it sound really gross, but it’s not. It’s also fat free, which is something I never think about, but the bottle is staring on me and it says that.

Back to work. ~_~

BREAK OUT THE T-SHIRTS AND SHORTS.

It’s plus 3 degrees celsius here today.

I totally wrote “t-shits” initially.

dsc00102

Took this at the campground today. Most of us (meaning, my co-workers and myself) have this urge to knock them down.

There’s also a bit of betting going on. Cassie says that she thinks she can lick the pole outside, and not get her tongue stuck. Cal is betting her $5 that it will get stuck. Apparently, we’re going to find out on Monday, because that’s when the temperature should be pretty low, and the pole will be nice and cold.

I feel like all Canadian kids have at some point in their life, licked a pole. You’re told by all the adults when you’re growing up, that if you lick it, it’ll stick. So don’t do it. But you can’t help but wonder if it really will… why will my warm tongue stay stuck on that cold pole? So, to satisfy your curiousity, you do an experiment. Your tongue gets stuck, you pull it off and end up bleeding.

Well, as of January 2nd we’ve been taking reservations at the campground.

So far everyone who’s called has been pretty nice. Some of them freak out a bit (for god knows why, you’re booking six or seven months in advance, no, we’re not filled up yet), but in general, the reservations all go smoothly and quickly.

I had a very nice lady who was very confused about the weather in Canada.

She was told that it was cold here. And yes, at the moment it is pretty cold.

However, she was told that it was cold when she was coming.

In July.

And was quite surprised to find that no, it’s usually in the high 80’s – 90’s at the time of year, excluding the humidity index. She couldn’t believe it.

It reminded me of that girl we went to school with… I can’t remember who it was, but she swore that she thought when she crossed the border from the United States to Canada it would instantly be a land of ice and snow.

It’s snowing here.

I mean, a lot more than it normally does for November. At least, I feel like it’s a lot more than normal. You kind of forget year to year… but regardless, I felt surprised at the amount of snow.

Last night, when I had to go to work, I had to brush some of it off the car, but it wasn’t too bad. However, when I was leaving work, I had a slight problem. One, I didn’t have any gloves. Two, I had no snow scraper or brush. Three, I pretty much had nothing to brush the snow off except my sleeve.

So naturally that’s what I used, which needless to say got snow everywhere and made my hands pretty damn cold.

Eventually they stopped burning and I had Candy Cane Ice Cream.

So, this morning. My car is covered, yet again, in snow. And leaves. And branches. e_e

I’m not exactly a morning person, so you can safely assume that I was in no way running early or on time. My mum said check the trunk because there might be a brush in there, but alas, there was nothing. Except an umbrella.

So I used the umbrella to clean off the car, and got some weird looks from people who were nearby. But hey, it actually worked pretty well. Except for the fact I was dumb and opened the car door before brushing off the door, and got snow all over my seat. :/

I managed to get some of the snow out, but not all of it. Finished cleaning off the car (kind of, I’m not exactly ridiculously tall, so reaching the middle of the back window and the top of the car proves to be difficult and my car ended up having a snow mohawk).

And on my way to work, realized that my seat was wet and was soaking my pants. NOT. COOL. It was from the snow in the car, plus the snow on my sweater. I didn’t realize how covered it got until I felt the wetness seeping through my jeans.

WHAT A WONDERFUL MORNING FEELING.

I have now decided that my mortal enemy will be snow.

There was a massive storm here today.
It was crazy. I said to Amanda, it was like a shower… totally meaning it looked like what comes out of a shower head, that kind of constant intense stream of water.

The roof leaked yet again, which you know, is great. And of course people feel the need to come into the store when it’s pouring out and track water alllll throughout the shop.

It’s kind of like their need to put their hands on freshly cleaned glass.
It’s obnoxious.

And for some reason, when people buy like two things that are easy to carry and want a bag for it, I want to say something like DON’T BE LAME AND CARRY IT YOURSELF. I’d never say that, and sometimes I even ask for a bag for only a couple of things so I have no idea why I feel that way… it’s just some anger issues that boil up. Haha.
